Although they’re difficult to buy right now thanks to continuous stock issues, if you want the best graphics card from Nvidia then the RTX 3070 or RTX 3080 are probably the best options, especially since the flagship $1,499 RTX 3090 is pretty over-powerful for most uses. Looking ahead, however, there could very well be another GPU sitting between them in the near future.
The Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti has been sighted as far back as September before resurfacing in December on an EEC listing and on an HP OEM driver list. The card was spotted again by Gamestar recently on the specs of a prebuilt gaming PC from Lenovo. Here the GPU had 16GB of VRAM, but just like the 3080 Ti's reported VRAM downgrade, this looks like it's now been halved to the same as the standard 3070's 8GB, although it will be using higher-bandwidth GDDR6X memory.
So far, Nvidia's made no official announcement on the existence of the card - so it's still all rumours and speculation, which you'll want to take with a healthy pinch of salt.
