AMD's RX 6700 XT, which is expected to go up against Nvidia's RTX 3060 Ti to be the best graphics card for 1440p gaming, could be just two weeks away from release. AMD will confirm the release date for the sub-$500 card in just a few hours, with its Radeon livestream scheduled for 11AM EST - that's 4PM if you're in the UK.
A report from Wccftech claims the RX 6700 XT is slated for a March 17 release, specifically, at 6AM PST. It's unlikely to be accompanied by the non-XT version of the RX 6700, however, which we originally spotted on an EEC listing with just 6GB of VRAM.
You can expect the stock issues facing all recent graphics card releases to be no different here, especially as an article from Cowcotland claims the reference-design RX 6700 XT will be limited to just 100 units. Custom card availability is expected to be just 100 at launch, too, although production of those will, of course, continue. That's not good news for prospective buyers, considering the inflated prices we saw for non-reference RTX 3060s before its release last month.
